August Articles and Info:
Articles
On Tuesday July 25th Kristina and Mary
delivered Red Lodge's application for
non-profit status to the IRS to the
post office. I heard it was at 4:59 pm
about a minute efore they closed. This
picture says it! And what it doesn't
reveal is the work these two women
accomplished over the preceding 6
weeks. All of us owe them a great
ULULATION for their hard work, time
and inspiration to see this through
to 4:59 pm on the 25th!
The documents sent were the IRS form 1023, our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. In there
are the leadership and decision making documents that were created through the original
committees set up at the February 2005 Wisdom Council and the Red Lodge Working Group that
began in
Sept. 2004. There are A LOT of sister's voices in these documents!
Several women have asked to see the Bylaws. It can be reviewed by clicking here Go check it out!
This is a time to CELEBRATE!!! How perfect that it all has come to pass ten days before Long Dance!

Planning for the elections to the Woman’s Way Red Lodge Board of Trustees for 2007 is
underway. We are seeking a Nominations Coordinator to head up this process right now. If you
have wanted to get involved but couldn’t commit to a long-term role or project, this may be for
you. The process is well defined and would require a commitment from Aug.15th – Oct. 15th.
Please email Peg at kaliahouse@msn.com or call her at (760) 362-4102 to discuss the details.
AND….if you are hearing the call to join the board please let us know. We are moving into a
staggered term Board, so the open positions are still to be defined. Stay tuned to announcements
via the September eNews and other mailings. The slate of nominees will be presented to the Board
on October 15th and new officers will be sworn in at the December 1-3 Red Lodge Wisdom Council.
