Summer Solstice Celebration
Gathering of Community Drums for Peace!

Saturday June 19 - Monday June 21
At Burton Hill, Vashon Island

     


Join Turtle Song, Spirit Dancer, Buffalo Heart and other big drums at Burton Hill on Vashon Island to drum, sing, and dance to make a joyful noise. . .bring your own drums and rattles, too! Opening ceremony to honor the sun's journey through South on the Medicine Wheel, begins 1 PM Saturday. 24-hour drumming for peace and earth healing begins 6 AM on Sunday. We align with the beautiful diversity of all traditions, as we join with people around the world to celebrate Summer Solstice. Men, women and children all welcome. Come and go as you like. Weaving the Hoop is a WWRL Service Project that invites women of all ages, from diverse walks of life to experience sacred circle and intergenerational mentoring relationships in our own local communities.  Hoops gather a committed group of women to meet once-a-month in rhythm with the unfurling seasons.  Join us to experience beloved woman’s way traditions, sing and drum, connect and tend our lives as we tap into the richness of our spiritual selves.
